Jumbo Japanese Fried Shrimp (Ebi Fry)
Large, crispy, and made to let the shrimp shine.

Ebi Fry has long been one of Japan's most beloved comfort foods, enjoyed both at home and in Japanese-style restaurants.
The first thing you'll notice is the generous size of each shrimp.
Developed under the supervision of seafood professionals from Tokyo's renowned Tsukiji Market, this Ebi Fry is made using carefully selected large shrimp.

Rather than covering the shrimp with a thick layer of batter, each piece is coated in a light, delicate layer of breadcrumbs, allowing the shrimp's natural sweetness and rich umami to take centre stage.
Light and crispy on the outside.
Plump and juicy with every bite.
A simple dish that lets the quality of its ingredients speak for itself.
That's what makes this classic Japanese favourite so timeless.

Carefully Made, One by One
Each piece is carefully breaded with attention to every detail.
The goal isn't to create a thick, heavy coating.
It's to let the shrimp remain the star.
The light, delicate breading creates a satisfying crispness while allowing the shrimp's natural flavour and texture to shine through.
Simple, honest, and delicious.
Just the way great Ebi Fry should be.
Freshly Cooked at Home
For the best results, deep fry from frozen in oil heated to 170–180°C for about 3½ to 4 minutes.

You can also cook them beautifully in an air fryer.
Simply brush the frozen Ebi Fry lightly with oil and air fry for about 10–12 minutes.

The result is a beautifully crisp coating with juicy, plump shrimp inside.
Serve with tartar sauce, Japanese tonkatsu sauce, or simply a squeeze of fresh lemon.
Add shredded cabbage and steamed rice, and you'll have a classic Japanese set meal at home.
Make Your Own Tartar Sauce
A simple homemade tartar sauce makes freshly fried Ebi Fry even more enjoyable.
Ingredients
• 2 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 hard-boiled egg, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
• 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Method
- Microwave the chopped onion for about 30 seconds to soften its sharpness.
- Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
Serve generously alongside your freshly cooked Ebi Fry for a comforting Japanese-style meal.
