Grilled Atka Mackerel (Microwave Ready) - 3 Flavors
Thick, Juicy Cuts of Atka Mackerel — Ready in minutes

Love Japanese Fish, but don’t know how to grilling it well?
That’s exactly the idea behind this microwave-ready Western-style Atka mackerel.

Fatty, flavorful Shima Hokke (Atka mackerel) is finished with a Western-style oil sauce. Just heat the pouch in the microwave and it’s ready to serve. In minutes, tender, juicy fish and a fragrant sauce come together.
How to Enjoy
1. Without opening the pouch, place it on a plate with the steam vent side facing up and put it in the microwave. ※ If the steam vent is facing down, the contents may leak out.
2. Microwave heating guide:
-
After thawing: about 5 minutes at 500W
-
From frozen: about 10 minutes at 500W
3. During heating, the pouch will expand. When it reaches a certain point, steam will release from the vent. ※ Please do not open the microwave door while heating.
4. After heating, make sure the pouch has deflated, then remove it from the microwave while keeping it on the plate.
5. When opening, keep the steam vent facing up and open from the cut edge carefully.

What Is Atka Mackerel, Hokke?
Hokke is one of Japan’s most beloved fish, long enjoyed at home and in izakayas, especially as dried fish.
What makes it special:
✔ Rich but not heavy
✔ Thick, soft, flaky flesh
✔ Deep natural umami, even with simple seasoning
Among them, atka mackerel stands out for its juiciness and balanced flavor tht making it perfect for this style of preparation.

A New Way to Enjoy Atka Mackerel
✔ Shima Hokke × Western-Style Oils
Instead of the usual sea salt-based seasoning, it's paired with lemon, herbs, garlic, and olive oil for a fresh, Western twist. It goes well with bread and white wine, and gently breaks the idea that grilled mackerel has to be “just Japanese food.”

Designed for the Microwave Cooking
It is designed specifically for microwave cooking. The method locks in moisture and flavor while heating.
✔ No frying pan or grill needed
✔ Minimal cleanup
✔ Ready in just a few minutes
Flavors (3 Types)
○ Lemon Pepper Olive Oil
The refreshing acidity of lemon meets the kick of black pepper in this well-balanced flavor. As soon as you take a bite, citrus aroma spreads, followed by a light peppery finish. It adds a clean accent to the rich, juicy Atka Mackerel. Perfect with white wine or a slice of bread for a grown-up, relaxed meal.

○ Parsley Butter Olive Oil
This flavor combines buttery richness with a touch of parsley for an elegant finish. The soft Atka Mackerel flesh melts together with the butter, creating a luxurious mouthfeel without being too heavy. The hint of herbs keeps it fresh, so you can enjoy every bite until the end.

○ Garlic Salt Olive Oil
Fragrant garlic and simple salt seasoning bring out the natural umami of the fish. One bite and the aroma fills your mouth, making it hard to stop. It’s an easy, dependable flavor that works for any occasion, especially great with beer.
