Shipping guide
MOCHI × CHEESE × PISTACHIO + A BIT OF CHOCOLATE.
A modern mochi sweet from Fukui, Japan.

Daifuku is one of Japan’s most familiar sweets.
Soft mochi wrapped around sweet bean paste. A simple combination that has been enjoyed for generations.
These days, even the familiar daifuku is becoming a little more modern.
Pistachio in the sweet bean paste.
A layer of chocolate.
And right at the centre, a generous piece of cream cheese.
This modern daifuku was created by a cheese speciality restaurant in Fukui — and lately, it’s been getting quite a bit of attention in Japan.
The name is RUNNY CHEESE.
And one more thing: look closely at the packaging. There’s a little mouse hiding in the design. It’s a small detail, but a very cute one.
Fukui is also known for Habutae Mochi, loved for its remarkably soft, delicate texture.
Habutae Mochi × Cheese × Pistachio.
A very Fukui way to make daifuku a little more modern.
A Different Take on Mille Crepe

CUT IT OPEN.
From the outside, there is very little to give it away.
White, round and unmistakably daifuku.
But cut it in half and things get a little more interesting.
Soft Habutae Mochi surrounds pistachio sweet bean paste, a layer of chocolate, and a surprisingly generous centre of cream cheese.
First comes the soft chew of the mochi.
Then the nuttiness of pistachio, the richness of chocolate and the gentle tang of cream cheese.
It feels Japanese, but not entirely traditional.
A little like a Western dessert, but not quite that either.

A FAVOURITE IN JAPAN.
This rather unusual daifuku has already found plenty of fans in Japan.
It has been featured on Mezamashi TV, one of Japan’s best-known morning programmes on Fuji Television, where food, culture and everyday trends from around the country have been introduced to Japanese viewers for decades.
It has also become one of RUNNY CHEESE’s popular sweets, sometimes selling out at pop-up events around Japan.
A familiar Japanese sweet, made just a little differently.
And now, we’re happy to bring it to Singapore.
GIVE IT A LITTLE TIME.
The daifuku arrives frozen.
When you’re ready to enjoy it, let it thaw for about 1 hour at room temperature, or around 4 hours in the refrigerator.
Each piece is approximately 90g, so one is quite satisfying on its own.
And for the first one, cut it in half.
There’s quite a lot hiding inside that little white daifuku.
