Oofuji Peaches 大藤: Yamanashi's Finest Fruit

The Flesh is Smooth and Moist, and the Juice is as Sweet and Juicy as Honey

The Oofuji district in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, is famous across Japan for its top-quality peaches.

"Oofuji Peaches" are loved for their sweetness, aroma, and texture.

*Note: Due to an unusually hot summer in Japan this year, the peak season for our "Daito-ryo" brand ended earlier than usual. We've now switched to this equally high-quality brand.

High Sugar Content and Rich Flavor

Ofuji peaches are selected for a sugar content of 13 degrees or higher, offering an extremely sweet and rich taste.
Grown in high-altitude areas with significant temperature variations, the peaches develop their sugar content slowly, resulting in a deep, complex sweetness.
The flesh is firm, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite.

How Sweet is "Sugar Content of 12 - 13.5 Degrees?

In Japan, the typical sugar content of peaches is around 11 degrees.
Peaches with a sugar content of 12 or higher degrees are classified as "Extra Fancy (特秀)," which is a top grade for peaches.

Battling Nature

Peach cultivation inevitably involves a struggle with weather conditions.

While ideal conditions would include rain when needed and dry spells during shipping times, nature doesn't always cooperate.

Nevertheless, growers persistently face these natural challenges to produce the finest peaches.

-JX way-

Our fruit selection process is carried out by professionals who carefully assess the best varieties for each season, month, and week.

We choose only the finest quality produce at its peak condition to deliver to our customers in Singapore

These peaches are purchased at morning auctions on the day of shipment at Ota Market, Japan's largest wholesale market.
They are then delivered to you by the following afternoon.

It's only available from early July through late August

We invite you to savor these premium peaches in the comfort of your Singapore residence, regardless of whether your travel plans include a visit to Japan.

⚠️ Peaches arrive hard and unripe ⚠️
Please Wait to Enjoy till Perfectly Ripe, Soft Peach

Our buyers select the best ones and when peaches arrive, they are often hard, in their unripe state, as peaches are usually harvested and shipped while still firm, as they can easily bruise and spoil when fully ripe and soft.

Allowing them to ripen for a certain period (追熟) will result in sweet, fully ripe, soft peaches.

In other words, knowing the correct ripening methods allows you to enjoy delicious peaches even more.

1. Storing peaches at room temperature ( in a cool, dark place)
Storing peaches at room temperature enhances their softness and sweetness.
Wrapping peaches in newspaper or similar material can protect them from drying out and getting damaged.

2. Softening around the stem

When stored at room temperature, peaches gradually become softer around the stem end (bottom). To determine their ripeness, gently touch the area around the stem with your fingers; when it feels slightly soft, it's ready to eat.

3. Chill in the refrigerator just before consumption

Apart from the touch test, you can also tell if the peach is ripe when the skin appears slightly translucent.
If you prefer to chill the peach in the refrigerator, it is best to do so about 2-3 hours before eating.

regardless of their origin or brand

Quality Fresh Fruit are procured on the day of auction, and shipped to you -

Our buyers at Ota Market, the largest fruit market in Japan, procure the best fruits available on that day through auctions with their mekiki skill (connoisseurship), prioritising quality over origin or brand.
