Kanadaya is a long-established store in Yamashina, Kyoto in 1959. Kanadaya has been honing its skills to produce authentic okaki, which make the most of the deliciousness of the high-quality ingredients. 

The main ingredient, glutinous rice, is grown under a cultivation contract with a farmer or an association, and the rice is polished in their own factory to ensure a safe and stable supply.

The rice is milled in their own factory. They are also particular about the mochi making and drying process.

The natural taste of the ingredients are distinct, making it ideal as a snack for children and adults.

It can be enjoyed with green tea for the most authentic Kyoto-style afternoon snack!

The ingredients contain a mix of roasted vegetable chips - notably sweet potatoes and purple potatoes from the famous Kagoshima Prefecture, pumpkins, carrots and green beans.
